Need biography suggestions

Oh dear, I'm going to a retirement party tonight and just realized that I have to get something.

I thought of a $50 gift cert to ezprints.com since she's all digital now.

Another co-worker says she likes biographies, and 19th century authors. She apparently has the new Jane Austen bio.

Any suggestions? She's very smart, likes anything good and interesting.
