More floor
Nov. 5th, 2006 07:31 pmWe've been loving the new floor in the kitchen but over time, with its matte finish (actually no finish at all, it had been sealed with a soak-in sealer but had nothing on the surface) it always looked a little dusty and some of colors in the slate seemed to be lost.
It looked like this:
only cleaner.
We didn't want it glossy but we wanted it "enhanced" so that it looked more like it did when it was wet. After some experimentation we found something that worked and today we scrubbed the whole thing down and applied it.
We're very happy. It's got a slight sheen and the colors are so much more interesting. It's hard to photograph but I think this gets the difference across:
