Every xmas since they first came out, my aunt has given my mother (and my brother and me) that year's Star Trek ornament.

Every year my mother adds the new one to the wreath that hangs by the front door.

It's rather cool when you turn on the power and they all start talking.

1958 - Jim Copp & Ed Brown, _Jim Copp Tales_ introduces me to wild and silly music. I never outgrow it.

1963 - Peter Paul and Mary - Puff the Magic Dragon is one of two 45s that I own (the other is _Railroad Sounds_ )

1967 - Beatles _Hello Goodbye_ and _I Am The Walrus_ on 45. On headphones.

1967 - Beatles _Magical Mystery Tour_. It’s still not making sense yet, or I think it's supposed to make sense in a way that it doesn't. Like everything else, forever.

1969 - Diana Ross and the Supremes _Someday We’ll Be Together_ is all over the radio and I’m all over the radio. And _Greatest Hits Vol. 3_ becomes my dress-up-and-be-beautiful secret pleasure.

1972 - Bowie _Ziggy Stardust_. Roxy Music _Roxy Music_. Bowie at the Santa Monica Civic. I was assimilated. Lou Reed _Transformer_. In awe.
