Point & Shoot digital recommendation
Jan. 10th, 2007 09:23 amAnyone who's considering getting a small digital camera should look at the 6.3MP Fuji F30.
No subjective shutter lag, fast focussing, and by far the best low-light capabilities of any camera in its class (usable but grainy ISO 3200, excellent slower speeds), shutter and aperature-priority controls, spot metering, very long-lasting battery (580 shots.)
It's missing the ability to do full manual and RAW and it's not perfect, but considering that it's got less noise at ISO 800 than the majority of comparable cameras have at ISO 200 it gives you the ability to take photos without flash in situations that other cameras won't handle. And you can get one for less than $250.
