I ran across a term called "madamism" where people start to resemble Wayland Flowers' puppet Madam.

In order to look like this at the age of 63 she trusted an argentine doctor who injected industrial grade silicone into her face. That fact makes it harder to laugh at her.

A vendor, over lunch, told me how much he liked these guys. He sent me a link. The first two I didn't get but now I'm starting to think they're pretty brillant.

Taxes

I am 90% paralyzed when it comes to getting my papers together. I have everything, it's just a matter of sorting them out. I have been working at it all day which means that I sort for a while and then am overwhelmed by panic. Repeat, repeat, repeat. There's nothing else in my life like this, and I'm annoyed and frustrated but powering through. Yet another day of feeling constrained, isolated, alone, and frustrated. But I'm slowly getting it done which is better than past years.

So if anyone else is out there going through the same thing, you're not alone.
