Beware of big waves

Anytime you get near the water in Hawaii, especially near rocks, you're warned to be extremely careful of unexpectedly large waves that can come out of nowhere and sweep you out to sea.

Not sweeping this time but lots of wetness.

Maui - Olivine pools

We drove around the west end of Maui and about half of it was a single lane road that hugged a cliff, and if someone came the opposite direction someone had to back up into a pullout. Sort of scary, but beautiful.

These pools were down a 200+ foot cliff and I was the only one of us to scramble down. Gorgeous. The pool I'm sitting by was about 12ft deep with a sharp rim so I was being very very careful not to fall in. I could have stayed there all afternoon.
