Possibly good new digicam
Feb. 9th, 2009 12:27 pmFuji seems to have listened to the people complaining about cramming more pixels onto a sensor and losing their superior low-light capabilities. The just-announced F200EXR gives you the option of shooting in 12MP mode or 6MP low-light mode. Since their best-in-show F31fd was also 6MP, I wonder if the low-light mode of this new camera will be the same as the F31fd or if that's improved. And hopefully they didn't screw it up and make it worse.
It also has the ability to take two images at the same time at different exposures (I wonder what the lag between them is and if it would ever show up) and combine them ala Photoshop HDR. If done correctly, this is very cool.
