Dec. 1st, 2009 01:20 pmI should probably but this behind a cut but it feels disrespectful, somehow. It's too easy to look away.
This is Eddie Prieto, the first man I loved, the first I had a serious relationship with.
Born Sept 1955, died April 1989. 33 years old. After being very sick for over a year.
Raul Rosas, who I met soon after Eddie died. He and his partner Bob were great friends, kind of took me in. They're the ones who got me to scuba dive the first time. Raul had a stern exterior but was a complete goofball when he let down his guard which he did with me. We were often giggling.
Born 1955. Died early winter 1992. 36 years old.
