It's amazing to me just how much is configurable - I can create default settings for sharpness, color vividness, contrast range, I can create custom exposure curves.
I can also use the built-in settings which will vary all that for you, for example a portrait mode that not just selects for a wider aperture for shallow depth of field - it also reduces contrast, softens the color, and reduces the amount of unsharp masking it does but according to the literature it will do it based on existing conditions - so if you're in bright sun it will soften things more than if you're in sunset light. Seems to do a good job so far.
We're driving up to Webster Mass to see Ernie's parents for their big family July 4th party and are taking Ernie's Mom a bunch of fresh vegetables. I of course took a photo:
