Digital Camera Raw
Mar. 6th, 2006 06:16 pmSo many professional photographers seem to work only with the digital camera raw mode that I thought that my attitude that it was only an incremental improvement over the high-quality jpeg might be wrong.
I get ~170 raw shots on my card with my Nikon D70 so it's not like I don't have the space.
I worked with this photo today - and starting in raw mode was invaluable. I was trying to get a balance of the indoor lighting with the cold blue outside light that was coming through the windows and there was no way I could get it in the jpeg version of the same shot.

So much to learn. I'm trying to get through the book on LAB color but there's been too much furniture refinishing to get done....
