Soundtrack

I've been spending a lot more time in Manhattan and in tranport there and back and my soundtrack to much of it has been a couple of Paco's mixes - _I Make The Pete go w00t, Papi_, _Big Red and Deeelicious_, and _My Perfect Summer Lipgloss_.

Besides being masterful examples of how to mix (and more importantly, *why*) they are sassy and fierce and sometimes glorious. All of which are fundamentally important in life.

They make me feel opulent. When I walk, and listen....

Spectra

One of the things I loved about the light at Coney Island is that as it got dark there was a mix of sunset sunlight and mercury vapor lamp light.

It makes working with photos like this, where that's all the light there is, fascinating:



because you can't really color-balance them the way you would anything else.
