After seeing this post I went looking through my old paperbacks. When I was in elementary school we lived in Los Angeles and had a trailer by the beach in Laguna Beach and before we went there my parents would give me a small amount of money to use on used books. All I read was SF and there was lots to choose from. I used to have a huge collection but have sold it off over the years so I don't have anything great but here are a few:





1966. Only much later would I learn that Samuel Delany was a big 'of fag and a kinky one as well. It introduced me to the concept of the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis in the form of a festive SF novel.
