Kauai Secret Beach
Jan. 12th, 2009 10:23 pmThe north shore of Kauai is a lot lusher and in the winter the waves are a lot bigger. This beach was almost unoccupied and the waves and light were amazing.

I've been reading the Best American Short Stories anthologies since 1994 when my friend Raul gave me a copy of the 1993 collection. I've been reading them since, not every year but most, and haven't really loved one as much as I loved the 1993 book.
Until now. The new collection was edited by Salman Rushdie and the stories are just amazing. Some of them hold-your-breath-and-read-fast-to-find-out-what-happens good.
Highly recommended.
