I sometimes train with Marco, who is doing pretty well at becoming a competitive bodybuilder. He came in first in two categories in a recent show, pics here (SFW) .

The last time I saw him was on Thursday before the show - you really can't tell what's underneath when someone wears baggy clothes - and as I was getting ready to go he said "since I won't see you before the show" and pulled off his shirt, dropped his pants (he was wearing boxer briefs) and started posing in front of me, while looking in the mirror.

I have never looked at men's bodies in a non-sexual way. I might not be thinking of specific sex acts, but I'm attracted to men, desire men as sex partners, love the way their bodies look and feel. So here I am suddenly looking at a very muscular mostly naked man who wants me to look at him but not in _that_ way.

It was very confusing. I like working out, like getting bigger, but other than understanding form and which exercises work which muscles I don't nerd out over it, so I don't know how big my arms are, or really exactly how much I can bench press, and I don't have any interest in talking to people about it. I talk to Marco because he's a good guy but it's always more about asking him questions because he enjoys talking about it (advice I think I got from Helen Grrly Brown) than about any strong interest.

So here he is, almost naked and flexing. Of course the first things that pop into my head are "You GO, Aunt Ida!" and "Liquid Eyeliner! Crime IS beauty!" And then questions about what he does for legs. But it was lame.

Straight men are so strange.
