Barcelona - day 7 - Girona

After a decent night's sleep (thank you opiates) we retrieved the car and took off. The plan was to drive north to Girona, then to Figueres (home of the Dali Museum).

Yesterday I left out the part about how when Ernie came back from his afternoon out, after I'd spent all day in the hospital, all he could talk about was this incredible guy that he'd met who lived outside of Figueres and we were going to have dinner with him. He couldn't find him on FB so he was trying to create a bigmusclebears profile to be able to get in contact with him. I was a bit peeved by his lack of attentiveness but it all worked out.

This is our route.

The toll stations were appropriately euromodern; the amounts were all strange - 3.21; or 1.67, that sort of thing. We got good at counting out change.

Barcelona - day 7 - Back to Girona.

Since we'd already done the drive, we made it back fairly quickly. Got lost finding his place - he ended up meeting us at a mall and riding back with us. Santiago's english was excellent as he had lived in Miami for four years previous to returning to Spain to start his internship/residency.

He had a washer/dryer in his apartment and we stuffed some clothes into it and then walked into town for dinner.
