I took this photo this afternoon, I was trying to capture the afternoon light that is distinct to the fall here and Cooper was being all interested in everything. Normally he disdains cameras.





I've been looking for work the last couple of weeks. That's boring.

I had a birthday. That was fun. We cooked a big dinner for a table full of delightful people.





I've been working on a followup (well, working on in my head) to the So Cal TMI post. Maybe tomorrow.

Yeah. 3 weeks in, scads of resumes sent out on Dice, and just now starting to get some interest. And I have lots of general project management and requirements writing experience, and most of it in financial institutions.

Re: size, I think what helps me is that I started skinny so while I photograph bigger, I'm not that intimidating in clothes. And I was already tall. And no matter how much I eat I can't do "bulking cycle" where I have a layer of fat over muscle.

I think it's also more common in the states for people with reasonable intellectual capability to work out and get big. I think other places it really shoves you into a class that you don't want to be in. You look HUGE - thick and wide - in the last pic you posted. Do you get bad reactions from people?

I can't seem to not do one. I always get to choose between having a waist and having shoulders. Right this second not so much waist (i.e. fat).

Not really in the current job, but let's just say I try to dress small during the week, which is getting harder. I always wonder, however, what my glass ceilings are for being obviously Gay, obviously Not From Here, and now, obviously Kind of Bigger. It doesn't help the Intimidating thing, I bet.

BTW, go to networking events and work the room for your industry, looking for the ecruiters. Seriously. Find the headhunter everyone goes to. Get on the mailing list of industry professionals and see the job posts. Job websites are close to played out.
