I love photogravures from early last century, they were a conscious effort to take photography into *art*.

I particularly like this one from Adolph de Meyer from 1922.





Can you tell he was a homosexual? I can.

I don't see any reason why this couldn't be duplicated using modern inkjet printers.

I may just have to find out.
